Submissive urination?

I need some help. Recently out fifteen month old schnauzer has taken to urinating in the house periodically. There is a pattern as to what triggers it, but I do not know how to fix it.

It happens during the weekends only. And in the mornings only. Usually during our weekend morning routine of slowly getting out of bed, using the bathroom ourselves, and tidying up, making coffee, etc. I know it not possible for dogs to do things out of spite, but that's really what it seems like. As soon as we ignore him, he pees on something. This never happens when we're not home, ever.

This morning we got up and let him out of his crate and he went outside immediately. I watched him do his business and run around for a bit, and then he came back to the door. Once he came in, I used the bathroom myself. Less than two. Minutes and he had peed on the coffee table. A few minutes later I went to the bedroom to get dressed, and came back out and he had peed on the kitchen table. He is doing this when he is being ignored....except I don't realize we're ignoring him.

I am confident this isn't a health problem or a potty training problem. It's behavioural and I don't know what to do. This has been going on for about two months now. Started after my mother in law watched him for a few days while we were away.

Any advice?

Honestly it sounds more like he is marking, not submissively urinating. When my dogs were puppies, we met some people walking two German Shepherd Dogs. One of my pups peed, then rolled over on his back. An old neighbor of mine had a dog that would pee when excited and whatnot. Those are more submissive urination. You should be able to find helpful tips by Googling "dog marking inside".

Thank you. I also thought marking at first, but everything I read was indicating submissive urinating, even though I really can't determine why. This makes more sense, I'll do some more googling.
