What Should I Do? (In Details)?
Ok, I want to be a actress and a screenwriter. I live in Ohio, school would be in the way for auditions, and classes. I want to stay in school to get my high school diploma, so I am considering getting home schooled, and won t mind not being in a public school. My parents don t think acting and screenwriting are good ideas for my future, but I can t ignore my dream. I live in a small town and can t move too, so I don t know how to go to auditions. I am just beginning high school next year as well. I also need to find great acting coaches around me, and screenwriting classes. I don t want to give up on my dream, so what do I do???

- Look for acting classes, workshops, camps - quality ones with well respected instructors (Casablancas doesn't have a good reputation in the industry). You don't need a coach yet - stick with classes at first.
- Audition for what you can, school plays, community theater, church shows
- Join drama club and compete in forensic speech/drama.
- Read plays and scrips of all kinds
- Take writing classes/worshops (even if they're not specific to screen writing)
- Write and rewrite - every day if possible
- Create your own movies or webseries for fun
- Look to continue your education after high school
- Don't expect to be "discovered". It's show BUSINESS - no one is going to give you a career. If you really want to pursue this then learn the business end of the industry. There are a lot of scams and rip offs so educate yourself. For acting

Always go for your dream, no matter what. Try home schooling and if it doesnt work out then just go back into public school. Search on google for acting schools/classes near you. Try places maybe like John Casablancas, Barbizon, and places like that. I went to John Casablancas and when you graduate you get signed into an acting agency and you get to go on their audition website to find auditions! Also practice on your own!!! Print out some monologues and learn them. Try a funny one then try an angry one. Practice facial expressions too. Hope this helps!
