How to add comment to a word/sentence in MS Word document, so that the comment is visible only when cursor hovers over it.?

    Hi, you do not mention which version you have, but hope these instructions are similar to your version setup.

    You want to go to View>Toolbars> place a check mark beside Reviewing.

    With your cursor, highlight the word or phrase you wish to use for your comment.

    On your Reviewing toolbar click Insert Comment.

    Type in whatever you wish your comment to state into the box that pops up (mine is at the base of the document)

    Click Close

    Now hover over the word or phrase (it should be highlighted now)
