my electric furnace blows cold air sometimes...?

sometimes it works fine, other times it can't keep the place warm, it'll be running all night and not be close to what I have it set at. Woke up to 48 degrees (F) this morning!! Right now it's blowing warm and getting back up in the 50s, but not sure for how long. What could be the problem?

    Odd. However intermittent problems tend to be a short or a loose wire most of the time. Being you have electric heat, some of the controls that make gas furnaces tricky are not present in yours. So I would lean towards a loose wire.

    You may have a sequencer that has failed → Sequencers stage on elements to avoid an inrush or amp draws.

    Or

    Could be a bad element.

    But my guess is the sequencer …
