Water Heater Terms?
Which is the proper term for standard gas water heaters?
"Natural Draft" or "Top Vent" or are they interchangeable?
And is "Direct Vent" also considered a sub category of "Top Vent"?
2 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs3 years agoOK so Yahoo changed the rules on how to get voted best answer several months ago.?
Before you could get awarded best answer by receiving the most votes. that has changed and now only the asker can select best answer. My problem is, why not restart everyone's point coint to level the playing field? The old method allowed cheating and users got points by voting for themselves. There are many people with a high percentage of best answers but those were under the old rules. It doesn't happen that way anymore. Users are not voting best answers anymore and askers are reluctant to give the best answer or forget to come back to select. So the ability to get best answer has eroded and affects those who started within the last year more than those who have banked thousands of bogus best answer points. Is that fair?
5 AnswersYahoo Answers6 years agoCircuit Breakers?
I have an Eaton 1" AFCI BRAF 15 Amp circuit breaker that trips sometimes with just turning on or off a lamp in the bedroom. It only started recently. An electrician once told me these breakers sometimes go bad. Is this true and if I were to replace it am I stuck with the same brand or will just about any 1" breaker of the same "type" work?
1 AnswerMaintenance & Repairs7 years agoWhat are the details about the difference between USA and European Electrical systems?
More precisely, USA has 110V to L1 and 0V to L2 and Earth/Ground on the third prong. Is Europe 220V to L1 and 0V to L2 or 110V to both L1 and L2? And if the later is the third prong used for both neutral and ground? I am just trying to understand the converter issues. My wife says that a small converter for a laptop would not work for a hair dryer. That just doesn't make sense to me.
2 AnswersEngineering8 years agoCan a landlord legally hold your security deposit in this situation?
We rented a commercial office under a 1 year lease. However we were not getting the use out of it as expected. Another person approached me to sublease one of the small offices in the unit. But he really decided he needed the whole area once he reviewed what he needed it for. So we discussed with the landlord and mutually thought it was a good idea to cancel my lease and add a lease for the other tenant and I sublease my small office in the unit from the new tenant. The landlord is now holding my deposit saying I broke the lease before the end of the term. The problem is that IT WS HIS IDEA! He even wrote the new lease up and had it signed before my pre-paid month was even up!
