Why can't yahoo Answers start an Atheist section so that the religion & spirituality section can actually be THAT?

Because every argument needs a rebuttal. We're in the same conversation, just on the opposing side. Debating the issue is the only way to reach consensus. We have as much right to express our view as the believer's do. We are your opponents. Prove us wrong. That's the whole point.

--- For the same reason that questions about Zero are put in the Mathematics section...Because Zero is an aspect of Math. And Atheism is an aspect of Religion.

I'm an Athiest but I think that would be pointless. What would we ask on it? We'd only be able to discuss religious beliefs either way besides everyone knows that there are more atheists on the R&S section anyway. They need us.

Atheism is a valid stance on religion, atheists are exactly where they belong in the religious section. I'm sorry that you can't handle disagreement.

Atheism is a very valid position on god(s) existence.

And the religious (Abraham's bunch at least) totally reject spirituality as of the devil.

So what the hell are you doing in the spirituality section if you think it is demonic?

Go back to the pretend preschool section if adult company is too much for you to handle.

I always wonder about believers that seem so desperate to be rid of dissenting voices...

Part of religion and spirituality is skepticism that any such thing is based in fact. Questioning believers and voicing dissent is not only part of any intellectually honest system, but it is a profoundly American and democratic practice.

I have long wished that Yahoo would do this, just so we can all know once and for all if the Christians would stay out of the atheism section, or if they won't be able to resist preaching to us there.

If that happened then all of the intelligent people would leave and the R&S section would be left with people like...you. Would you really want that to happen? A bunch of people posting questions and answers in crayon?

Because it would be spammed by religionists. That's what happens with atheist websites all the time.

If it wasn't for us atheists then you Christians would be forced to bicker amongst yourselves about whether Jesus was god or the son of god and who is and isn't a true Christian and crap.
