Wanted to upgrade my desktop. But wonder if my motherboard is capable of that?

I wanted to upgrade my gaming desktop, and I'm wondering if my ASUS M5A78L-M LX PLUS AM3+ can support Intel Core i7-5930K or 4790K? And also GeForce GTX 970 or 980?

I currently have a GeForce GTX 680 and a AMD FX(tm)-4170 Quad-Core Processor.

The asus m5a78l-m lx is not compatible with intel processors just amd processors also the i7-5930k and the i7-4790k are two different socket processors , i7-5930k lga socket 2011-v3 and the i7-4790k lga 1150, Your mobo can support all the way up to a amd fx 8350 with a bios upgrade, support for the gtx 900 series is no problem with the right psu

An AMD mobo cannot support Intel processors. As far as the GCU as long as you have the right slot for it it will work but you must have the power supply rating and connectors to support it.
