Why aren't Muslim leaders speaking out more against ISIS if they truly believe that ISIS doesn't represent Islam?
If I were a Muslim leader, I'd be screaming from the mountain tops of social media that ISIS doesn't represent my religion. Instead, we hear nothing. Why? Could it be that they secretly support them?

Do you even watch or listen to any news at all? Every day all around the world some Muslim group or individual is publicly opposing ISIS.
I turned on the radio at 8am today, and by 9:15, heard about 3 different Muslim groups stating their opposition, one group in Oslo, one in New York City, and another in Tehran, and that was on just 2 different radio stations, one of which covers more sports and traffic reports than international news.

This question again. It really isn't the fault of Muslim leaders that you aren't prepared to listen to them. Just Google the term "Muslim leaders condemn ISIS" and see for yourself. I can't be arsed providing links for this question yet again. It has been asked so many times and people will believe whatever suits their agenda.

They have plenty to say, but some media outlets don't want to report things that go against the message they're trying to promote.
If you hear nothing it's because you get your news from a source that wants to depict all Muslims as terrorists.

the problem is that Islam is fractured by a variety of competing belief cults and there is no one leader to represent them, although that's what ISIS want to establish. if there weren't so many psychotically deranged Islamists slaughtering people who disagree with them these competing belief cults would just be another laughable example of the insanity of religious belief. instead they are another example of the tragedy of religious belief

Many do, but many support them especially if they are sunni like ISIS. ISIS is fronting a political struggle, not so much a religious one.

Or perhaps it is fear that keeps them silent - for Muslim is killing Muslim today! It's a sad and bad world in many ways, thank God that goodness and love are also at work in those with a caring heart.
