There are no pros really.
Kindle ereaders do not have GPS
Kindle Fire does not have GPS.
Kindle HDX ONLY has GPS if you buy the expensive 4G version and PAY a monthly data contract.
If you buy a normal Android tablet with real GPS, there are some navigational packages you can use with pre-loaded maps and the tablet's GPS chip without being connected to the network. A real GPS chip talks directly to GPS satellites.
I guess the only "pro" for Kindle HDX GPS is if you are willing to pay the monthly data contract and use your 4G data connection when you need "GPS", the 4G, though less accurate, may work better through tree cover.
