If the Original Sin led to all of the unpleasant things we see around us (as was claimed in a recent question)...?

then why was Eden considered a Paradise? This suggests that conditions outside of Eden were less than perfect, meaning that unpleasant conditions existed before the original sin... So how does that work?

    Ha, I have no idea, maybe the garden of Eden was special because it had that tree with magic forbidden fruit.

    Originally, only the garden of Eden was a paradise. The first human couple were to fill the earth with their offspring. In time, they were to subdue the entire globe and make it a paradise. (Genesis 1:28) Adam and Eve disobeyed God, so Jehovah put them out of the garden. Paradise was lost, and no man has succeeded in restoring it. The Bible says: “The earth has been handed over to the wicked.”—Job 9:24.—Read Genesis 3:23, 24.

    Paradise will be restored on earth during Jesus’ rule as God’s King. In a battle called Armageddon, Jesus will lead God’s angels and destroy all who oppose God. Then Jesus will imprison Satan for 1,000 years. God’s people will survive the destruction because Jesus will guide and protect them. They will enjoy everlasting life in Paradise on earth.—Read Revelation 20:1-3; 21:3, 4.

    I think you know me well enough to know I am not defending the bible and especially not Genesis. But, Genesis is what people are taking literally when they say this stuff.And Genesis 3 literally describes the very land itself transforming by the curse of Adam's sin even before he is kicked out of Eden. The belief is that the world changed. They also believe that is when death became a thing too.

    17 To Adam he said, “Because you listened to your wife and ate fruit from the tree about which I commanded you, ‘You must not eat from it,’

    “Cursed is the ground because of you;

    through painful toil you will eat food from it

    all the days of your life.

    18 It will produce thorns and thistles for you,

    and you will eat the plants of the field.

    19 By the sweat of your brow

    you will eat your food

    until you return to the ground,

    since from it you were taken;

    for dust you are

    and to dust you will return.”

    Source(s): Genesis for some weird reasons has become the only book of the bible I know half-decently.

    Creation was good. Even outside Eden. Your suggestion should not followed prematurely. Rule out first that sin changed everything.

    A plausible explanation is motivation, but not proof.

    Eating from the tree of life. If you want to eat a hamburger a cow must die. I reckon all needs were met and there was no need to fight for resources etc....
