Cool cosplays?

I need ideas for people to Cosplay. I want to Cosplay a female(I'll do a guy as well but I always do guys) this time but I don't want her to be a plain background type character look...like she needs something unique that would make people recognize her. Weapon or no weapon half naked or not but it does have to be fairly modest...no kill la kill.

Also when suggesting the character name the series as well just incase I havent seen it yet I will watch it!
