    Institutional sexism. If it were a universally good practice, men would be required to wear it.

    The face of woman is being allowed to open, the same gesture as you are standing for prayers infront of GOD,but for those who covered their faces while praying then are void.

    The purpose is for men to hide women so they and other men are not tempted by them. In other words it is a means by which muslim men control and dominate women. It should be banned in any civilised country.
