In which elections are UK Civil Servants eligible to stand and serve as councillors?

I know a Civil Servant cannot be an MP and can be a Parish or County Councillor, but what about a District or County Council?

I have looked at the Electoral Commission website and was still not sure - do you know of any Civil Servants serving as Councillors?

They can be district or county councillors too. They can't be MPs because then there would be a direct conflict of interest as employees of the very body they are also elected to. But there is no such conflict with any council up to and including county level.

Public servants and the armed forces have mostly been viewed as apolitical, try raising your profile by doing the job in the public interest.
