How TV Channels send HD videos over satellite?

I'm confused , how is it possible to send live or recorded datas transmitted over what medium satellite or any other way? the recorded or live video will be huge size in GBs and what's the technicques behind live telecasting and also if they send via satellites can they send at budget prices , coz i heard of using internet on satellite phones are much expensive so how these channels use satellites to broad cast their huge datas and without losing clarity

    There's nothing mysterious about it. All satellite channels are digital, so the uplink to the satellite is high-speed data. That makes HD and all the rest possible without losing clarity. The satellite regenerates the data signal, which cleans up any minor imperfections caused by the uplink. That maintains clarity on the downlink to you.

    Internet and phone service via satellite is available, but the cost is very high and the data speed is limited. (As you suggested, the bandwidth on satellite links does have a practical limit.) For those reasons, it's only suitable for areas that don't have better options.

    Satellite TV channels also have a practical limit. Most of them are held to 720p, although that's also true on cable systems.
