Internet speed is fast, yet everything still loads slow?

I'm in South Korea. I just did a speed test and got 25.25 Mbps down and 9.57 Mbps up. Yet somehow everything still loads slow as sh*t. It's not just my computer. My phone is slow, my tablet is slow, I haven't noticed my new HP laptop to be as slow but then again I don't use it much.

Sometimes it's to the point my freakin streaming XM radio will even get interrupted. What the F?

Is there something I can do figure out what's slowing it down? I've reset the router multiple times and I can't tell any appreciable difference when I do.

My devices even lose their connection completely sometimes for about 30 seconds. And if I'm not actively using the connection it will just stop in the middle of the night and I have to wait for the devices to reconnect to it.

I suspect the issue is either many users or hardware that is undersized.

If your network switches are not rated at 1 GB duplex, they may be the bottleneck. If the switch ports on your router are not 1 GB rated, they also can be the bottleneck. What is the type of wireless access point? If it is undersized, that can be the issue.

Finally, the download speed is the max speed; if, for example, 4 people are downloading very large files simultaneously, the max speed all will see is approximately 1/4 of the over all max speed (assuming the downloading servers are all able to run at the same speed and faster than your connection).

Try calling your Internet Service Provider first.
