As a Teen, is it healthy to wake up early if you don't need to?

I'm homeschooled, so school starts whenever I want it to, usually about 8:30am. I usually get to bed well before 10:00. Would it be healthiest for me to Sleep until I wake up naturally (~7:00), or should I set an alarm to wake up early (6:00)?

Waking up early won't hurt...a teen probably needs ten hours of sleep to be really at optimum performance...so 6am would mean an 8pm bedtime but if you feel ok and can do your schoolwork and such on less sleep go for it...I used to wake up at 5am in middle school just because I liked the serenity of everything that early in the morning...just feel it out...wake up at 6, if you like it keep doing it...if not, sleep in...

That is entirely up to you. Personally I'm a morning person like you. I think early morning is the best part of the day.
