How did you stop the last two breast feeds? Any advice?

Baby is 13 months and isn't bothered by breast feeding any more. I've slowly reduced it down to two feeds a day, before breakfast and before bed. All the info I can find says about reducing feeds one at a time but nothing gives advice on the last hurdle of going from the two feeds to one then to stop. Any ideas? Thanks

I would cut out the morning feed. Warning it will be hell for a few days. Whatever time you nursed do something else fun. Like have baby help make breakfast.

The night time nurse will get baby to upset & crazy before bed. first time my daughter fell asleep & didn't nurse I decided she was done, (16 months)

i breastfed twice a day for a long time then when i was ready to give it up, i just dropped the morning one and still did once a day at night for a few days (pump if the baby won't take your breast), just for a few days and then you can just stop. my breasts were only very slightly sore for a couple days after i stopped.

I replaced the bedtime nursing with a special drink and then slowly weaned that drink to milk. I still cuddled. Never did cry it out.

You can wait till your lil one self weans in a month or two, and replace nursing with some cuddle time.
