Did your baby have silent reflux? If so please help.....?
Have you any suggestions on getting baby to sleep during the night?
Baby is almost 4 weeks and breastfed. Usually I feed him and he either falls asleep or is really Dosey. The issue is that as soon as I lie him down in the Moses basket he starts hiccuping, reflux, noises like moaning, groaning, uncomfortable etc which bu 5-10 minutes later escalates into mad crying. Then nothing will settle him at all, just starting the routine again of more breast milk etc.
The Moses basket is propped up. During the day he sleeps flat in the pram etc with no bother.
5 AnswersNewborn & Baby5 years agoWhat type of oil is best in a deep fryer?
We used vegetable oil but the smell once it is turned on is awful and the small lingers in the house for at least a day afterwards. What oil is best to use?
8 AnswersCleaning & Laundry5 years agoHow do you get rid of the fryer oil when you clean out the deep fryer?
We were bought it for Xmas and have used vegetable oil. I've emptied it into the original container but what do I do with it now?
6 AnswersCooking & Recipes5 years agoDid you have a VBAC or another c-section?
I'm just wondering as I have a decision to make, did you have a second c-section or a VBAC? I feel I'm being pushed into the VBAC as that's the cheapest way for the NHS!
From your experience what would you recommend?
3 AnswersPregnancy5 years agoCar experts, can you help? My car won't start!?
The engine lights come on so its not the battery which is usually the issue. The starter motor is clicking away so it's not that either. It's like it has flooded but when that happens you can feel the engine "trying" to start which usually gets more each time until it starts. That's why I'm puzzled. It's not trying to start at all. It's a cool day maybe 10 degrees Celsius so not exactly cold and it's damp, constant really fine drizzle.
Any ideas or do I need the RAC man again? Thanks
4 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs6 years agoWhat's an alternative to Peppa Pig for a 18 month old to watch?
Hahaha it's all changed since I was a child. Remember You and Me or Cockleshell Bay? What's an alternative to Peppa Pig for an 18 month old, I mean something more babyish than Thomas or Postman
Pat! Thanks
3 AnswersParenting6 years agoAt what age did you put your little one into a forward facing car seat?
I know rear facing is best and you must do rear facing until 9 months (UK) and the legislation which isn't in yet will be 16 months but I was just wondering what people have done. Thanks.
5 AnswersNewborn & Baby6 years agoWhat do you give your little one for pudding?
She's 12 months, I seem to give her yogurt, custard or rice pudding every night, any other suggestions please?
She doesn't like crunchy and eats lots of fruit.
4 AnswersCooking & Recipes6 years agoUk - would you buy a group 1 car seat or a group 1,2,3 and why please? Thanks?
Baby has almost outgrown the rear facing group 0+ car seat so I need to be buying the next one. There's so many I'm just lost on which to buy. Do you advise a group 1 then later on a group 2,3 or would you get a group 1,2,3 to start with.
2 AnswersParenting6 years agoDo you recommend a group 1,2,3 car seat or just a group 1 car seat?
I know it means I would have to buy 2 if I get a group 1 car seat but I'm not bothered about that.
Do you have a group 1,2,3 car seat, isn't it much too big for a 12-18 month old? I'm concerned as the size difference between a 9 month and 11 years is so massive I can't believe a small child fits them properly. Any advice, tips or ideas would be welcome.
2 AnswersParenting6 years agoDo you have a bulky pushchair and a lightweight buggy, when do you use the buggy?
A strange question I know but I was going to buy a buggy and my husband asked if the big expensive pushchair will now be redundant so I said no we'd use both. So he said if we have a pushchair then when would we use the buggy as everything we would use a buggy for we could use the pushchair..... When do you use yours, maybe it's use has changed over time?

1 AnswerNewborn & Baby6 years agoWhat nappies do you use at night time?
Baby is 13 months and a couple of times now the nappies have leaked I was wondering what brand or type you use at bedtime. Maybe it's to do with her sleeping on her front with her bottom in the air as her vest is wet on the tummy above the nappy. Not a great deal but it's still wet and the nappy is really heavy. I use the boots brand.
1 AnswerNewborn & Baby6 years agoDo you give your toddler a drink before bed and if so of what?
Do you just give water or milk or something else? I thought milk gave you nightmares!
5 AnswersNewborn & Baby6 years agoDo you give your 12-18 month old follow on milk?
I was just wondering as now the breast feeding is coming to an end if I should give follow on milk or just cows milk. She has had a little formula before and will drink it but as it has the added vitamin a,d and iron I was wondering if I should give her that as cows milk doesn't have it. What do you do?
6 AnswersNewborn & Baby6 years agoWhen you stopped breastfeeding before bed (12 months and over) what did you offer instead?
Obviously baby is having water etc with meals and throughout the day but do you give something before bed and if so what? Thanks
5 AnswersNewborn & Baby6 years agoHow did you stop the last two breast feeds? Any advice?
Baby is 13 months and isn't bothered by breast feeding any more. I've slowly reduced it down to two feeds a day, before breakfast and before bed. All the info I can find says about reducing feeds one at a time but nothing gives advice on the last hurdle of going from the two feeds to one then to stop. Any ideas? Thanks
