how long does it usually take to get over someone and just stop thinking about them?

It's been exactly a year since she broke up with me. We dated for 5 years, and in those 5 years I made her my everything basically. she was my one and only friend (that I trusted) and she helped me thru my parents divorce and we went through so much together. So when will I just stop thinking about her. I cut her off from my life. Partly cuz I wanted her to want me and chase and beg for forgiveness. and partly because you can't be friends with someone you love. not when they don't love you. I think deep down im afraid if she DOES beg for forgiveness I would take her back. but I doubt that will happen. anyways... how long does it take before I will stop?I feel like im torturing myself. sorry for the rant, not feeling too great at the moment.
