My male cat brings and kills kittens at home?!!?

So I asked this for a month ago and was back to tell again about my male cat. Here in Philippines, we dont neutur our cat cuz we really dont. Anyways, this is the 5th time he brought a kitten like 2 weeks born and was bitten on the neck. He just kills them and leaves them. He doesnt eat any part from its body. God, he just brutally kills the kitten and leaves it. What is the cause of this? Is really neuturing your cat will stop him from doing this. I dont want to see another helpless kitten on my doorstep again. Please help.

Your cat is a male & attempts to establish dominance & be able to mate with as many female cats as possible. If all her babies are killed a mother cat will not go thru the period of feeding, protecting, & teaching her kittens. She will follow a biological imperative & go into heat again. Your tomcat is bringing home the dead kittens bodies to show his prowess.to you. (Just like the occasional 1/2 eaten bird, etc.). If you neuter him, he'll still seek your approval, but he won't be as driven by his hormones & "animal urges".

. If money is a problem try finding a "no-kill " shelter or barter some service with a vet to have the surgery done. It may seem mean but he'll be happier & there won't be all those feral cats out there. They have no shelter, no regular feedings, they're treated badly by most human - like they are pests; but if pet owners would be responsible for their animals then their cats, dogs, whatever will be responsible too. No more kitten corpses !!

Don't tell these people the Philippines don't neuter/spay their cats. I have been there many times and desexing cats are encouraged there just like vets do in any other country. You are someone who just could care less about others and even your own cat who will probably die a early death just because of his sex drive not even caring that he has a much greater chance of getting cancer also from not being properly cared for and neutered.

That's what male animals often do. They kill the offspring of other males so the females go into heat again and mate with them. The only way you can stop your cat from doing it is to get him neutered and keep him in your yard.

Cats kill many little animals, it's part of their instinct. There isn't much you can do, to stop it, except perhaps show your cat that you don't like it, by spraying water in his face, each time he brings a dead animal to your door. Really though, why would you be angry at him for being a cat and doing cat things like killing small animals, he brings them to you, expecting that you'll be proud of his skills!

Have you neutered him? If you haven't neutered him he will kill another female's kittens to put her back in heat so he can mate with her producing his own kittens, I recommend neutering him, your cat is completely normal, the behavior is also common in male lion's who will kill cub's for the exact same reason.

Yes neuter him, it's probably some territorial thing. Kind of like big cats in the wild they will kill cubs if they want to mate with a female

He kills because YOU allow him outside unsupervised and he kills to bring the mother back into heat so he can breed. As a responsible owner, you should spay/neuter and you should keep him in your yard. Either build an enclosure where he can sit in the yard and not go roaming and killing or you keep him inside 100% of the time. If he is an inside cat, he MUST be neutered or he will be spraying all over your house.

No, neutering won't stop this behavior. Maybe if he was neutered when he was young he would not have started this but now it's ingrained in his brain to kill kittens on sight.

The only way to stop this is to have your cat put to sleep.

Neutering could help. Male cats can be territorial and that could be the reason for this. However, I would also ask your vet and/or an animal psychologist.

The cause of this is YOU.

    . You don't neuter cats

They kill the kittens so the mother will go into heat again quickly
