What kind of plant? Oregon Wild plants?
Found this plant while out on a walk in a nearby park. I live in Washington county in Oregon and I've been trying for the entire day to figure out what this dang thing is to no avail. The leaves are really smooth, and when I attempted to uproot it (which i failed at) the base of the plant below the soil appeared to be an orange-y color. If you pay close attention to the way the branches come off of the main stem it seems to be almost layered, like an onion. It's also hollow on the inside of the plant.
It seemed to grow in a relatively wet area, too.
Thanks.

I think you are looking at Cow Parsnip. It can be confused with Giant Hogweed, which you want nothing to do with. Be very sure that isn't what it is before touching it. This website has good photos and info: http://www.saanich.ca/living/environment/pdf/invas...

It will be more clear once it flowers, but the leaves look like Dutchman's Breeches, or possibly Bleeding Heart.
