I was bummed when Clinton couldn't run again. I was living the most prosperous yrs. in my life. Gore even won the popular vote and we ended up w/ the failed bush legacy. I was glad he couldn't run again but no way would he have been elected w/ that atrocious approval rating ...

Bush's Final Approval Rating: 22 Percent"

America can't afford to put the economy in the hands of another rep president ... the last 2 were synonymous w/ recession.

Obama has done well w/ the cards he was dealt and a GOP bent on obstructing him. I'd vote for him.

It did not stop Pearl Harbor nor our getting involved in the war, but since he had done the job he did with the prior problems, it seemed like the only thing to do. What people didn't realize is that he and Stalin divided up Europe to give Stalin power, without Churchill's blessing. By the time WWII was nearing its fifth year with the U.S. in it, Roosevelt's health was very poor. When he died, it was up to Truman (the v.p.) to act on dropping the atomic bomb to end the war. After people sat back and pondered what had taken place, they created the 22nd Amendment so we would never again come so close to having a dictatorship. Obama would love to be a dictator. He has no use for the Constitution, which has been the law of the land for over 200 years. He plays nice with our enemies and he has alienated our allies we could always depend on. He has indicated he wants us to be a Communistic country, which is the very thing we have fought against for so long. He plays the race card at every turn, and he has turned people against each other as viciously as before the Civil War started. I think that's where we will end up again if people are stupid enough to abandon the 22nd Amendment. It's there for a specific purpose.

Then came WWII, and since he was on good terms with Churchill and Stalin, the country decided that, once again, they'd better keep him. • Absolutely not! The 22nd Amendment was put into place for a good reason. FDR inherited the Great Depression, and the U.S. was beginning to pull out of the deep malaise when he was re-elected in 1936. He had created the WPA and he was in the process of pulling the country out of the bank failures and market crash of 1929 and people trusted him. Then came WWII, and since he was on good terms with Churchill and Stalin, the country decided that, once again, they'd better keep him.
