Would it be rude to suggest to my neighbor to go to a sleep clinic?
My neighbors bedroom and mine are separated by nothing but a wall, and he has a very obvious snoring problem. I have learned that he goes to sleep much earlier than I do, and due to the fact that I am working on getting a master's degree, I often stay up pretty late. Would it be rude to kindly suggest to him that he may need to go to a sleep clinic? I know snoring can actually be dangerous, and he clearly has a pretty bad snoring problem, because the only thing I ever hear from his room is the snoring. Never any talking with his wife, television, or anything. So yeah, I kind of want to use that as a way to nicely solve the problem. Any advice?

The odds that a neighbor will see a doc based on your observation of snoring is close to zero. Most snorers get offended when told of their problems and many don't believe it anyhow. You will better off adding a source of white noise to your room or wearing earplugs. Running a fan in your room might be enough noise to drown out the snoring.

Sounds like sleep apnea and yes that can be dangerous. He probably doesn't even know he snores. He may be insulted if you tell him but I would. I would tell him that I'm concerned for his health and it wouldn't hurt to tell his doctor about it and see what the doctor suggests.

Call the Humane Society and the shelters in your area. They'll know of low cost clinics in your area. Most areas have them.
