Video recording/editing assistance?

Once you watch this 30 second or so video, perhaps you can help.

I want to know if I would have to "digitally remove" my phone in order to have this sort of shot to be taken without being able to see the camera I'm holding. Follow?

You are taking a shot of yourself in the back of a spoon. Interesting concept.

You could make a green-panel, mount the camera behind the panel with a small hole open for the lens. But then you would need video editing software to replace the green with something else. I do not think it can make the green 'transparent' so you can see stuff as it moves behind where the camera was.

Bill gave a great answer: tilt the spoon so the camera is not in the center, but recording the image at an angle.

The camera is right in the middle, I don't know if you could digitally remove it. Try holding it at an angle so you don't see its reflection.
