Gift Basket Ideas for New Mom and Dad that isn t baby-related.?
So my brother and sister-in-law are expecting their first child - a boy - and of course I have a bajillion ideas for baby gifts.
What I d like to do is in addition to baby gifts I want to give them a "New Parent Pack" of stuff for them. But I m not good at coming up with ideas.
I m not rich so things like spa days, weekend trips, or super expensive gifts are out of the question. I also live too far away to babysit - and I m not particularly good with kids so I don t think I should be offering.
I was thinking like restaurant gift card, a bottle of wine (can breast feeding moms have wine?), and even some silly things like aspirin and ear plugs. I m just got getting the "idea mojo" going.

Restaurant gift cards are great but make sure they'll last long.. With a new baby it's hard to get out.. Wine will do.. A little wine for a breastfeeding mother won't hurt as long as she doesn't overly consume. Maybe like a nice relaxing bath spa product from bath and body works or something that both of them can use.. They'll need something to calm them during stressful times with the baby.
