When i put my laptop on charge, it starts to lag, so much so that the game becomes unplayable...but when i put it to discharge, fifa works?

    Check your power schemes under power settings. There, one can set the CPU performance under certain conditions like on battery or on power adapter. Maybe you have low performance set when on adapter (it is possible to set that by mistake)
