Is it normal to bring pictures to a funeral home viewing?
My father passed. The visitation at the funeral home is coming up. I found a bunch of old framed pictures of when he was in high school and from the military. My question is it normal to bring pictures of the deceased to have set up at the funeral home in the viewing area? Has anyone seen this at funerals they been too?

Once it was uncommon but it is now done so more commonly. Funerals are not for the deceased. They are for the living. The deceased have no cares. The pictures and memorabilia displayed at visitations are to remind those present of the deceased as they were not as they are.

I took a bunch of photographs of my husband and mounted them on one board to display during visiting hours.
