What was the role of the United States at Versailles? (WWI)?

    One of the "Big Three" powers that would decide what would be in the final treaty.

    US President Wilson attempted to get a treaty based entirely on his own Fourteen Points,which would make him look like the great international peace giver and a major statesman on the world stage.

    However,France and Britain did not see most of the Points as being in their national interests,so ganged up against Wilson to make sure the ones they didn't like didn't get in the final treaty.
