Should the 22nd Amendment be abolished so that Barack Obama may run for a third Presidential term?

Yes, along with all future Presidents.

I think we need more than just one amendment to be adopted now. I can think of a number of others:

    1) Repeal the 22nd Amendment.

    2) Abolish the Electoral College and have direct popular election of the President.

    3) Create a schedule of when states can hold their presidential caucuses and primaries. Prohibit any state from holding them before April 1 of leap year; allow only the smallest states (1 or 2 seats in the House) to hold them during April, allow only medium-sized states (3 to 9 seats in the House) to hold them during May; make all of the largest states (10 or more seats in the House) wait until June to hold presidential primaries or caucuses.

    4) Empower Congress and the states to adopt campaign finance laws, so they can restrict the amount of money that is spent on politics.

    5) (The MOST important to me) Re-write Section 1 of the Fourteenth Amendment to make its meaning narrower and clearer.

It'd be a short 3rd term. Impeachment looms for certain with a 3rd term.

Besides, you need 2/3 of the states to pass a repeal.

The President has no interest whatsoever in running again.

He kicked the Pugs' fat white butts twice already. He has all but endorsed Hillary to be his Successor.

It's Hillary's turn to enrage and terrify Contards. I can't wait to watch.

The 22nd Amendment be repealed by another Amendment so government doesn't tell your State who it's allowed to vote for.

Even if it was abolished or amended today , it could only apply to the next President, not the current one.

You need to think about this...how would you have liked a third term of bush? Be careful of what you ask for...you just may get it.

    In short...no.

    Long form...

Oh Lord no, it is going to take at least a decade to recover from "hope and change" and the middle east may never recover.

If I wanted a dictator or a monarchy I'd move to Europe. People WAKE UP! or move to Europe you'll enjoy it!

In a word, no. Two terms is plenty. All politicians should be limited to two terms
