AC issue on my '07 Chevy Cobalt.?

So just recently my AC started only blowing at my feet and if switched it to defrost it makes this sticking sound. Also, my engine has started to make a strange noise. It is kind of hard to describe because its nothing clanking or banging around. It just sounds really "airy" almost like it is whirring. My engine light came on about the same time. I have no clue what all of this means. Bad insulation or something more serious?

There's a mode door that controls the direction of air in your system. The door or more likely, the actuator, is bad, causing that 'sticking' sound.

The stored codes need to be read by a scanner, to address the engine light on issue.
