Enroll at a community college and leave your major as undecided. Go to a career counselor through that college and take their advice. Look up different professions and what they require to get into that job. Then through your local university or community college do informational interviews with various alumni in those professions you're looking in to. Declare your major when ready. Complete an Associates and move on to the Bachelors if you so choose to.
To start off, look into English, Communications, and Music majors at your local in state university or community college, what jobs each degree can get you and related jobs. Use bls.gov for this info.
You're not late going to college. It's never too late. Because you waited to go you have a higher chance of succeeding and doing well. Just gain some direction before going in.

Something that has to do with a SPECIFIC PROFESSION toward which you're inclined, or better yet, COMMITTED. You need to really get your act together, as far as this is concerned, and not wander aimlessly into "liberal arts" or something vague.
ESPECIALLY at 23, for whatever reason you're getting into college so late.
