Why don't Jehovah's Witnesses understand that they will not be resurrected?

Ecclesiastes 9:5, "For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing at all, nor do they have any more reward, because all memory of them is forgotten. 6 Also, their love and their hate and their jealousy have already perished, and they no longer have any share in what is done under the sun. Psalm 146:4 “when a man dies, “his thoughts do perish.”

Maybe I just don't understand how they define resurrection. Please explain, and please make it simple for my sake.

Well, that inspired scripture debunks, immortal souls,a fiery hell, communicating with the dead, etc.

    Will never be remembered?

Jesus said, Haven you heard Jehovah is the God of Abraham,Isaac and Jacob? He is the God of the living, because they are living to him.

How about the book of life? Why have a symbolic book? If everyone is living?

    Hell? What about Judas?

Act 1: 20 For it is written in the book of Psalms, ‘Let his dwelling become desolate, and let there be no inhabitant in it’+ and, ‘His office of oversight let someone else take.

    Psalm 69:25

    25 Let their encampment* become desolate;

Let there be no inhabitant in their tents.

It is true that as time goes by, we forget the dead

Jehovah does not forget his loyal ones,

But at the same time we do have inspired words in Daniel and other books that talks about the resurrection

You also have to place those verses into the future

Ecclesiastes 12: 13 The conclusion of the matter, everything having been heard, is: Fear the true God+ and keep his commandments,+ for this is the whole obligation of man.+ 14 For the true God will judge every deed, including every hidden thing, as to whether it is good or bad.+

    Matthew 12:36, 37

36 I tell you that men will render an account on Judgment Day for every unprofitable saying that they speak; 37 for by your words you will be declared righteous, and by your words you will be condemned.”

    Acts 17:31

31 Because he has set a day on which he purposes to judge the inhabited earth in righteousness by a man whom he has appointed, and he has provided a guarantee to all men by resurrecting him from the dead.”

    2 Corinthians 5:10

10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of the Christ, so that each one may be repaid according to the things he has practiced while in the body, whether good or bad.

    1 Timothy 5:24

24 The sins of some men are publicly known, leading directly to judgment, but those of other men become evident later.

Oh, I didn't know you guys at the Q&A were judging us? Thank you "night crawler--you got it right on the money, and didn't say anything ugly--like some...but Jw's don't have thin skin, we're tough!

John 11:11 Jesus resurrected, Lazarus, and over 500 people saw him!

Everyone who has died will be resurrected, and judged. Some to a resurrection of life and others of a resurrection of judgment.

And a small group of mankind to a heavenly resurrection of 144,000 who are called the "Bride of Christ".

romans 8:1 - think of it like this: when we die our whole life's experiences will be erased, much like erasing the data off a computer disk. But not to worry, Jehovah knows and remembers what took place all two or three billion seconds of our lives and can easily, after resurrecting us and creating new bodies for us, create a new consciousness for us and "implant" our old memories back into our new brains. The trouble with that is that our memories no longer exist (according to them). So when God recreates our new consciousness he artificially pre-programs our new brains to think, act, and do everything else our original selves did before we died. He will artificially create new memories based on his recollection of our lives and "implant" them so that our new double will continue to act based on past experiences which are artificially re-created.

Now I ask you, is that the definition of the resurrection??? Oh! And another interesting thought. When God re-creates our memories does that mean he's also going to re-create our sins, all our wrong doings, and then afterwards judge us by these artificial recollections? That really throws a monkey wrench into his justice administration. JW's will vehemently deny all of this of course.

  • Yes, those Jehovah's Witnesses who die will certainly be resurrected. Most of them to a life in paradise conditions on the earth.

    The Bible tells us so

    John 5:28,29

    Psalm 37:29

If I was then I would find Jehovah and kick him in the balls for making me live again with those crazies who can't even say hey its wrong to sweep sexual abuse under the rug to protect a nonexistent persons image who they have never met yet feel like he is a best friend they had lunch with yesterday but hey someone said lets damage the victim more by shaming them so they will zip it.

All about protecting that image just to wake up and live again.

Newsflash you only live once and they live it in fear not with joy or happiness with a dose of shunning.

The resurrection is not that persons same physical body coming out of the ground, but rather a totally new body provided by God for each individual.

When a person dies their "thoughts do perish" from their perspective as they are no longer alive, but God knows each persons thoughts and memories and will give them back to each new body when resurrected.

Nobody will get resurrected. Nobody will enter the Halls of Asgard. Nobody will be getting 72 virgins. It's all hogwash.

Why do you worry about this? It's the Lord's call, not ours.

The body turns to dust, from where it came, and the soul returns to God.

It is impossible for the human body to reanimate after death.

Oh dear. Them, there poor witnesses
