Could I be charged with any crime?

What's going on is I bought my boyfriend (who was under sex offender probation at the time) a cell phone, which I added as a secondary phone to my account. My account that I added it to had my email address attached to it, but he was unaware of what my email address was and I was paying both his and my cell phones online, having the receipts for both phones emailled to me. I found out recently that he was using the phone that I bought him and was paying for to contact his victim. Am I in danger of being charged with any crime? If so, what and what could the sentence be?

Go find yourself a lawyer, and don't post anything more online.

Your lawyer will tell you what kind of trouble you are in, depending upon the details of your story.

    Get away from this guy.

    It doesn't matter what sad story of how he was done wrong - he's a S E X O F F E N D E R - what's WRONG with you?

It's not clear enough what happened. You refer to the boyfriend contacting his "victim," but we have no idea what that means. We also don't know the terms of his probation, etc.

You should consult a local attorney rather than try to get advice here. You're going to need to share more of the story. In the meantime, you probably shouldn't keep associating with some sex offender boyfriend who is contacting his "victims."

I don't think you're in any trouble for what you didn't know about. Now that you know, however, if you don't do something, you're an accessory.

Are you really that desperate to have a boyfriend that you'll take up with a sex offender and pay for his phone??? I'm really asking because I'm just amazed at what women will put up with.
