What is the best bridge design for a toothpick bridge?

I have to make a toothpick bridge in my geometry class out of only flat toothpicks and Elmer's glue. We have unlimited supplies and the goal is the make the bridge as light as you can, but still be able to hold weight. It is being judged on the weight to strength ratio, so it doesn't necessarily have to be light as long as it can hold more weight. It has to be able to be long enough to go across, I believe, a 4 gallon bucket. The weights will be from the science room and spread across the bridge, not just the center.

Make 4 long sticks out of the toothpicks. Then make triangles between 2 of the sticks, it is really light and really stable. So triangles on three of the sides, right, left and bottom, it worked for me
