Is 1,200 mg is too calcium a day?

I am a 39 year old man.I can't drink milk or anything that is rich in dairy.My diet don't really contain anything with calcium.I haven't had anything with calcium in 6 years.I just started taking calcium tablets 3 weeks ago 600 mg twice a day.I was wondering is 1,200 mg is too much?

    IDK but I know a lot of the calcium pills also have Vitamin D, which aids in the absorption of calcium... and too much Vitamin D IS possible.

    I would ask your doc about it.
