2001 Nissan Sentra 1.8 liter. Can a stretched timing chain cause a no start condition. Can it cause low compression in 2 cylinders?

a timing chain should not stretch that much to cause a problem ( it would have to stretch maybe 1/2 inch or so ); it may be that the chain has jumped a link on one of the sprockets...........you really need to have the vehicle looked at by a mechanic

Both things can happen most time the chain jumps a couple teeth then the car won't start.
