Both Heaven and Hell are very real places. Heaven will be more wonderful than anything experienced on earth, and Hell worse than the most awful thing experienced on earth.

Some people have been given real visions of heaven and/or hell or experienced one of them in near death experiences. These three videos show examples. The last link is a test you can do to see where you are currently headed.

Yes, Hell is a literal burning place in the center of the earth. It is NOT the grave, as many cultists teach, for no one BURNS in the grave as they do in Hell (Luk. 16:23-24; Deu. 32:22; Mar. 9:43-48). Hell was originally prepared for the Devil and his angels (Mat. 25:41), but, since man chose to enter the domain of sin and death, Hell has become his place of torment as well. We read in Revelation 20:14 that Hell will eventually be cast into the "lake of fire."

For those who are opposed to "hell fire preachers, " you may find it interesting to note that "hell fire" was first used by none other than the Lord Jesus Christ Himself (Mat. 5:22; Mar. 9:47). It isn't God's will that anyone should go to Hell (II Pet. 3:9), but He will certainly allow all who reject Christ to go there.

The fact of the matter Yes, hell is the grave of all of the unsaved souls so when God Jesus Christ comes back to judge the living and the dead and too destroy the heaven and the earth, by fire the second death, where the heaven and the earth shall be burned up, by the hell fires.

Well its sort of true , I believe and the science theory is there that its the consciousness that survives death , the useable goodness the part that encourages evolutional fitness , this can be sorted through the law of attraction , like vibrational energy attracts like , the rest goes in the recycle bin , this explains all belief systems also why goodness = evolutional fitness.

search for goodness and string theory

No. Good people and bad people alike cease to exist shortly after their body ceases functioning because the parts that make a person are particular areas of the brain. This is a known fact and you can radically alter someone's personality by damaging or removing parts of their brain.

Why are people so obsessed with where we "go" after death?

I am more concerned of the pain and suffering I'll endure upon the lead up to my death.

Who says we go anywhere, anyway? I don't remember anything pre 1983 when I was born, so why would anything go on after I am dead?

I'll just cease to exist again.

    Simples!

Jesus repeatedly warned people about Hell. In fact, Jesus talked more about Hell then He did about Heaven. If a person Repents and Receives Jesus as their Savior and Lord, they will be saved and go to Heaven. If a person rejects Jesus, and dies without Jesus, they will go to Hell. http://www.christianity.com/
