What kind of Lube goes in the knuckle Joint? It has a plug like a rear end, But my dad All ways put chassis lube in it (since the 1960's that I know of) I know it has like a U joint inside it.. so what should it have in it, Lube or gear oil??

They call for grease which Willy's called chassis lube. Many people these days use Slick 50 or Mobil 1 synthetic grease. In years past we made something called Knuckle Pudding. That was a 50/50 mix of 140 gear oil with chassis grease. You heat the gear oil and add the grease til it's blended. Use a rose gun and pump it in.
