IVF Advice.?

My husband and I will be undergoing IVF starting June 1st. I will be on stimulation drugs for about 10 days then have a Lupron Trigger day 11. Egg retrieval day 13 and 5 day transfer on day 18. Due to the fact that my AMH (ovarian reserve levels) and my PCOS my dr has decided to do low dose medications. I will be on 75units Menopur and 75units Gonal F and Cetrotide when adviced. I am concerned though that with this low of a dose that I won't produce a bunch of eggs therefore won't have any to freeze. Anyone used this low dose protocol?

Hi there, I just finished the last of my stim meds (follistim, menopur, genirelix, ovidrel trigger), and have my first retrieval on Wednesday. =) If your clinic is like mine, they'll be doing blood checks and ultrasounds during the process to make sure your ovaries are responding to the meds how they want them to, and then will increase the medications if necessary. My problem isn't PCOS, but if they have you on low dose meds I would assume it's for your safety and to avoid ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome, which can be very dangerous to your health. If you're unsure, never be afraid to ask.

I wish you luck on your retrieval and transfer! My clinic does things a little differently be giving the patient's body a month to rest between cycles (they claim it increases chance of pregnancy by 20%, even with vitrified embryos), so we won't be doing fresh transfer. It's another cycle in August and then hopeful transfer in November for me. Yay? Fair warning, menopur has a tiny needle but it stings because it's a reconstituted med. If your others are prefilled or the kind that come with cartridge and injection pen, those are a cinch.
