Your loved one is dead, they've gone to heaven...if you could would you bring them back to you?

If your brother, sister, mother, father, friend or lover died and you had the power..would you bring them back again to live once more by your side???

Is believing they are in some sort of heaven just a poor second choice for what you really want?

They're gone and your belief in heaven is just an anaesthetic for the pain you feel.

Believing they are in a “better” place is the coward's choice, a cheap trick to avoid the real pain you feel at their loss.

In reality the only place our loved ones live on is in our memory...in our hearts.

Even if I could, I would not subject my grandparents to resurrection. If life was not tinged with suffering and indignity I might answer differently. But even leaving the Christian belief in eternal reward aside for the moment, consider Plato's adage that "Not merely life, but good life, is chiefly to be desired". My grandparents' quality of life had passed that tipping point by the time they died. They were ready, and though I miss them I am confident we will be reunited in the hereafter. I can wait a little while; life is short until you're ready to die and then hopefully it's even shorter.

"In reality the only place our loved ones live on is in our memory...in our hearts." And you know this, how? Because nothing told you so?

Geez, isn't this obvious. You don't have to rub it in for people who actually have lost someone just to make a point.

How selfish would one need to be to bring someone they "loved" back into this existence and not allow them to move on to another!
