Chinese ppl only, Is this the translation for Lao Tzus quote of "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step" in Chinese?

Someone told me it is 千里之行,始于足下 . (Correct me if i am wrong) So I found this picture that matches. But I dont understand what the little letters on the left side are for.

They read from right to left, right?

Yes, this is the approximate translation of Lao Tzu's quote. The little words on the left are the date and name of the person who wrote the calligraphy (Wu Yifan, twelve years old, wrote the calligraphy on a spring day in a Jia Wu year). And yes, the big words are read from right to left. Hope this helps.
