What are your thoughts on the "Palestinian Emirates" Israel-Palestine partition plan?

The whole idea:

The large "national" Arab states - like Iraq, Syria, Lybia ...etc. fail and dissolve into conflict because these are artificial constructs. The populations there are actually a number of separate tribes with tribal rather than state allegiances.

In contrast, the peaceful/ successful Arab states are small ones like Qatar or loosely federated conglomerates like "the United Arab Emirates" -- specifically because they are arranged under the natural tribal structure.

The same is the case with "Palestine". The Palestinian "ethnicity" was defined by the PLO and the Arab League as a substructure of the modern nationalist pan-Arabist concept.

But in reality that are eight clans/tribes of Arabs in the "West Bank" area who hold themselves distinct and separate to the point that they do not intermarry or live among each other, and have their own separate leadership.

Thus -- instead of a "Two State solution" with an artificial Palestine doomed to go the way of Syria and a number of other artificial pan-Arabist states,

it may be more fruitful to implement a "Nine State" "Israel + Palestinian Emirates" solution where each tribal group governs its own land as a fully independent state all in coordination with each other and Israel.

Update:

As I understand, this plan has been floated and there is already buy-in from both the Jews and the traditional Arabs of the Hebron area.

I do agree that it'd be safer for Israel and the people living there to have the areas divided into nine areas. I would personally like to send the Palsetinians back to where they belong - Jordan, but this is by no means practical as you have to actually get the Jordanians to accept them and then do the massive task of moving them.

So long as no settlements are destroyed I am OK with the plan. It would also have to be made within areas B and A (Palsetinian Authority controlled). Anything is better than uprooting half a million Israelis in order to form a terrorist state overlooking the whole of Israel.

What I don't agree with is leaving Gaza with HAMAS... I think that HAMAS should be uprooted and even divide Gaza between any cultural lines there. I also think a few settlements, and no-mans land in the middle of the two or three couldn't be a bad thing either.

I have to disagree with BMCR on the whole democracy issue. Democracy is fine with normal people... but Muslims tend to not fall within the whole "Normal people" category. If you look at the most stable Muslim countries... they are ruled by Kings. If you give the Muslims democracy they vote for people that will take their rights AWAY from them. Just look at how they voted HAMAS in Gaza. The reason groups like ISIS grew so quickly is that they had the support of the majority of the people they conquered. If people will just vote away their rights (and the rights of others), it is actually better to take the right to vote away in all honesty.

I am of the opinion that for peace to happen the end result will have to be a DEMOCRATIC state.

i.e. a future state of Palestine should be democratic. As an Emirate, it would not be.

I find it slightly amusing though that this idea is rejected by some anti Israel cranks, not because they think it is a bad idea that will not work (and presenting arguments why so) but because they think it is Israeli propaganda.

    Disolve the Palestinian Authority

Establish israeli civil law everywhere west of jordan.

Every Palestinian that signs an oath of aliegence to israel gets full civil rights and an israeli passport.

Everyone that doesn't sign is deported to Gaza .

Then if they want they can sell their property and move to Jordan , or move in with the British as expatriated citizens of "British Mandate Palestine"

Source(s): Israel is a "jewish" homeland. And if someone there doesn't like it, they should be kindly encouraged to move.

I said it before and I'll say it again- the two state solution won't work not because a Palestinian state can't exist, but because we don't have any guarentee Palestinians won't start lobbing rockets off of the Judean hills into the center of Israel's most densly populated area the minute the IDF is out of there. This idea doesn't solve it.

My thoughts are that your scribblings are a load of absolute bollocks and your answers are just as incompetent. Well that's what one can expect from a crown-contributor with an artificial brain. Read some objective history instead of Zionist propaganda. Your question shows more about your ignorance of the subject, than anything else.

What you wrote is Plan Yinon - Israeli propaganda subterfuge.

Here is a link to prove that I am correct.

    http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plan_Yinon

The first real step in peace is to trash the concept of a "Jewish State."

It was a stupid idea that has never worked and will never work.

I think it is false Hasbara. Palestinians have been in Palestine much longer than the illegal immigrant Khazar "Israelis" therefore deserve it all.
