Do you agree is Manny Pacquiao better than Juan Manuel Márquez?

Yeah but not because he's 2-1-1 against Marquez. Marquez is a style nightmare for Manny and always gave him problems in their 4 fights but to me it's clear he's had the better overall legacy than Marquez.

Let me put it this way;

Marquez is tougher but Pacquaio punches harder.

Marquez is the better counter puncher but Pacquaio had the better combo.

Manny is a lot faster but JMM is a lot more savvy.

They had each other's number.

Marquez gets excited when he's up against a marquee opponent. He drank his urine against Floyd but to no avail. Against Pac, his counter punching ability is enough. Manny is never a technical fighter. He's just a boxer with a combination of speed, power, athleticism, toughness, lots of stamina, and heart of a lion. Not so technical my friend but he's almost a complete fighter. That I think puts him head and shoulder above Marquez as the greater fighter.

Better in terms of achievements but not as a fighter. JMM is the technical fighter. Fighting from Flyweight to Jr. Middleweight is where the legacy of Manny Pacquiao is and no one have ever done that although Armstrong fought on several weightclasses. .JMM is the best counter puncher in this era in my opinion but it doesn't mean he is better than Pacquiao.

Manny is better Athletically and stronger and faster, But Marquez is by far the smarter fighter and a way better counter puncher and technician . I think its a tie though. Intelligence as a fighter is the most important thing when it comes to winning boxing matches

yeah he's better hairstyles their styles just make good fights between them in general Manny is a better boxer then Juan Manuel Marquez especially since mani lost from from kno against Marquez

In terms of better accomplishments, sure Pacquiao has a lot more to show for. But between the two of them, Clearly JMM is better. He won that series. He (JMM) should be awarded at least 3 wins in the series.

No. Marquez got screwed by the judges in 2 of 3 first fights. I feel Manny only won first fight. If Marquez had not ko'd pacman he might have been screwed by the judges again

Whoa whoa whoa. Did you just say Pacman is MORE technical than Marquez? No. A thousand times no. Pacman is the superior ATHLETE without a doubt, but he is miles behind Marquez in terms of technical ability and ring smarts. That's what made their fights so interesting. It was brains vs. brawn. They were perfect foils for each other. I'd say they are on exactly the same level of greatness. They MADE each other.

Pacquiao will be hailed as the greater fighter in future and his resume better but marquez is better technical fighter and smarter his style will alaways trouble pac but pac is the greater fighter and the end marquez got manny finnaly but manny is greater both are all time greats really
