Need help with rear speakers on 02 Lincoln LS?
I replaced the rear speakers because the left rear blew out. Put in some mid grade Pioneer speakers in the OEM's place and they sound HORRIBLE. The OE speakers would rattle the rear window, the higher output aftermarket speakers sound like they're in another room, covered by pillows. Still a 2 wire hook up, and I see there is a small OEM amp of some sort back there. What went wrong?

You bought the wrong speakers for your car. Somehow find out the power rating and get speakers that can handle that or more. The old speakers might have a label stating "xx watts'', 'x' ohms- possibly 40 watts, 4 ohms, or something like that. Rattling the rear windows is not a good thing. I can't guess about the mid-grade pioneers you have. Maybe they cannot handle all the power your car's stereo gives them.

I figured that out the hard way. 2 ohm OEM speakers and 4 ohm replacement speakers dont work out as well
