Financial advice for our family.?
I am pregnant, baby due in Oct. Have a 20month old. I am a LPN. My husband will be graduating with his associates in industrial maintenance in May, he will also have multiple welding certs, including pipe welding. We want to move to North Carolina.I'd have to work full time and dh would work full time. We'd each make about 35-40k annually starting out, each. I called around and good day care for two babies in their age range next year is about 2k a month. A nice place to rent is about 1k a month. Our cars are paid off, I do have a student loan bill of 150/mo and dh has a loan of 100/mo. So then wed have our phone bills, utilities, gas and food. Do you think its in our budget to move there?

What you should also do as you're calling around is look at rent costs where you want to move to. That could help you set up some sort of budget before moving. Prior to moving you must remember there's moving costs, first, and last months rent, deposits. Also check into how much utilities are in the area. Once that is all thought through, what are the job prospects where you are looking at? If they're limited for even one of you, you may want to rethink where you want to move to. Child care costs as you're probably are finding out are huge. Not only researching child care, but looking into jobs in the area can be helpful too. Good luck!
