VET!! PLEASE HELP! SUDDEN DOG AGGRESION?

I have 2 shih tzu brother and sister, they are 1 year old right now. They grew up together and never been seperated. She never growls at us, never. She loves humans. I've socialized her a lot with other dogs, she loves new dogs/friends and she plays friendly with her brother everyday. Just today whenever her brother walked close to her she would growl. Not knowing what it was my mom had pushed him closer and she had just snapped. Jumped at him growling and yanking his ear, he started yelping in pain. I had to grab her and slap her so she would calm down. She doesn't seem to attack him/ growl if he doesn't go near him. Yesterday and today she seemed to keep trying to get something off her butt, dragging it, biting it. The vet is closed right now and my mom can't take them a shower until tommorow. Do you think she is sick?

(She is only violent towards him, i don't know if other dogs.)

You people clearly don't have a clue that you should NEVER get litter mates, but you're learning why. The dog's not sick. It's totally untrained and undisciplined. Sign up for obedience classes so you'll have someone qualified teach you how to train.

And you don't "take" a dog a shower, you give them a bath and ONLY when absolutely necessary - never more than once every 6 weeks at most and that's only for dogs who's skin and coats are very well looked after in between.

That's why it's not recommended to get two pups at the same time especially siblings.

Train you ill behaved dogs (not "slap her").

Take it to a vet for the butt dragging, probably need anal glands expressed.

    Vets are open 24/7.

Dogs shouldn't be "shower" unless vet recommended.

Likely what is called "littermate syndrome". http://www.patriciamcconnell.com/theotherendofthel...

http://www.caninedevelopment.com/Sibling.htm Very likely that this will continue to escalate and you won't be able to keep both in your home. One of many reasons why two puppies shouldn't be raised together in most cases.

Rehome one.. This is why you don't get two puppies at once.
