Will gaming consoles become pc or will pc become gaming consoles?

So how much more advanced can gaming consoles get before they star looking and acting like pcs? Will pc gaming be the only gaming there is?

    I love the consoles because the fewer variations in the hardware - the more reliable the software usually is.

    Effectively these days consoles are PCs, just running different custom software.
