I had to disconnect my battery?

on my 2000 Nissan Maxima and now I can't get 3 incomplete (INC) codes to clear out of the obd2 system for inspection.

I have put about 210 miles on the car driving in all different types drive cycles to clear the codes with no luck. Help Please

It has to complete a drive cycle, which differs from manufacturer to manufacturer and sometimes even from model and year. Here is what I have found for Nissan:

    1. Start the engine. Allow the engine to idle until the engine coolant temperature gauge needle

points between the C and H (normal operating temperature).

    2. Accelerate the vehicle to 55 MPH (88 km/h), then quickly release the accelerator pedal

completely and keep it released for at least 10 seconds.

    3. Quickly depress the accelerator pedal for a moment, then drive the vehicle at a speed of 53 to 60 MPH (86 to 96 km/h) for at least 9 minutes.

    4. Stop the vehicle. Leave the engine running.

    5. Accelerate the vehicle to 35 MPH (55 km/h) and maintain the speed for 20 seconds.

    6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 at least 10 times.

    7. Accelerate the vehicle to 55 MPH (88 km/h) and maintain the speed for at least 3 minutes.

    8. Stop the vehicle. Place the automatic transmission gear selector lever in the P (Park) or N (Neutral) position or the manual transmission shift lever in the N position.

    9. Turn the engine off.

    10. Repeat steps 1 through 8 at least one more time.

If step 1 through 7 is interrupted, repeat the preceding step. Any safe driving mode is acceptable

between steps. Do not stop the engine until step 7 is completed.

'Incomplete' codes CAN'T be 'cleared'. They mean the system has not 'relearned' the related data since the system lost power when you disconnected the battery. The ONLY way to get rid of these codes it actually running the engine for a sufficient amount of time.

Note: The published procedure is BS for any car. Normal driving WILL clear the 'incomplete' codes just as fast, AND provide MORE accurate data to the computer.

Drive like normal over a couple days with over a quarter tank of gas. No wide open throttle. Just drive it like normal. If I remember right since it's a 2000 model you're allowed 2 incomplete monitors so as long as you get one more to read you're ok.
