Possible Soap Allergies?
I may be allergic to soap(s). But how can I be certain? At first, I thought maybe I was allergic to my cat. But anytime I use my soap (I have tried changing brands, scents, ingredients) I break out into hives. I get these red rashes and bumbs. And they sure do itch! Yet I mostly get them on my thighs, arms, waist, hips, neck, and chest. It's horrible can anyone possibly explain what's happening? It's itchy!

Ultimately, you can go to your doctor, and they can do allergy tests. Perhaps they could test you for an allergen to glycerin or something. I would try first using a scentless soap specifically for sensitive skin, and if that doesn't work, try a natural alternative like oatmeal or something? Best of luck!

Try testing the soap on the inside of your elbow. That tends to be the most sensitive spot on your body and the safest to experiment with. This way you can see if it is actually the soap you are allergic to.
