Can I create a character with the same name as another character from another franchise?
I'm a big fan of Team Ninjas dead or alive series and I was going to send them an idea of a character named Natsu, there is a character named Natsu in the Soul Calibur series but my character is a male and has no affiliation with Natsu from SC who is a girl. So can I name my character Nasu or do I need to think of another name which I really do like the name Natsu. All answers are appreciated

Natsu is also the name of one of the main characters from the manga/anime Fairy Tail (male). There's no problem creating a character with the same name as another, considering that Natsu is already somewhat common, and that your character has no real connection or similarity to any other existing Natsu.
Edit: Yeah, well, so long as your Natsu isn't a genderswapped copy of the SC Natsu, you should be fine, even if they're both ninjas.
